 MANDY'S PAGE

Root'n Tootn keep the old stuff fresh by adding further songs to their repertoire, lovingly enhanced with Steve's mandolin and banjo playing or Joe's baritone guitar. Both are also getting in on the act with their backing vocals too. Even Mandy finally plucks up the courage to sing an old Ernest Tubb number "Have You Ever Been Lonely" which was written in 1932 by Billy Hill.

Mandy sung the song for the first time in January this year at The Northern Renegades CMC in Burton-on-Trent and she had everybody singing along with her to add a little moral support. On the strength of that reaction, Mandy would like to encourage more people to join in when she sings the song in future, so we have taken the trouble to dig out the lyrics which can be printed out from the link below.

Mandy would also like to thank the many people who have given her little trinkets to hang from her bass, all of which she greatly treasures.

More songs will be added with Mandy singing as she becomes more confident, some of which will be included on the next Root'n Toot'n CD due out later this year.
