Johnny Vee is a true legend in his own right who puts his heart and soul into his guitar playing. As well as looking like an illegitimate Travis descendant, Johnny has adopted an uncanny resemblance to Merle Travis in his style of guitar picking.

Johnny Vee carved out an early musical career on Merseyside with the Carl Terry band amongst others, but his hard work really paid off when he discovered the fantastic guitar style of Merle Travis and today Johnny's style is very much as distinctive as that of his idol in his heyday.

Johnny, at 72!, the youngest member of Root'n Toot'n brings a touch of youthfulness to the band and his love of Chicken Parmo's hasn't gone unnoticed!
